14/05/2018: "Projects" Section of the Website Updated:

We have added several new projects to the "Projects" section of our website.

01/05/2018: Congratulations to Misgana!

Recently, Misgana Mitiku, a Kirkhouse Trust funded MSc student from Hawassa University and the Southern Agricultural Research Institute (SARI) has successfully passed his MSc research studies. Misgana began his MSc studies under the Kirkhouse Trust MSc Scholarship award on 9th October 2015 and completed on 9th October 2017 with a research dissertation titled : “Genotypic and Virulence Characterization of xanthomonas axonopodis pv.phaseoli and xanthomonas axonopodis pv.phaseoli var.fuscans, and the Reaction of Bc4 Common Bean Population to the identified strains of common bacterial Blight”.
His PhD supervisor at Hawassa University is Dr Alemayehu Chala and the supervisor at SARI was Yayis Rezene Tedla. Misgana passed his MSc viva on the 13th March 2018. Congratulations to Misgana, with thanks to Dr Chala and Yayis!

30/04/2018: Training Grant Scheme Suspended:

As of 19th April 2018, the Trust suspended its Training Grant scheme for applicants who do not already have an existing funding relationship with the Trust. Please click here for further information.
